Whisky Burn - Scapa (30 x 20 cm oil on panel)
This painting was the last of the Scottish Whisky Burn series. I painted it just after visiting Highland Park and Scapa distilleries, while waiting for the evening ferry. Not far offshore at the bottom of the Scapa Flow lie dozens of WWI warships, scuttled by the German commanders impatiently waiting for the armistice, and probably desperate for a drink.
