Join Ben on his first trip around the distilleries of Scotland
Whisky Burn tells the tale of a three-week odyssey around the highlands and islands of Scotland. Whisky novice Ben invites us to join him in his quest to learn more about the single malt distilleries of Scotland, travelling from distillery to distillery on his trusty, 1979, 50cc ‘vespino’. Follow him along the windings of the whisky trail as he speaks to distillery managers, production workers, tour guides and fellow whisky tourists, gaining knowledge along the way and a few samples to taste back at camp in the evenings.
Join Ben on his second trip around the distilleries of Ireland
In Whiskey Burn, The Distilleries of Ireland by Vespa, Ben sets out again on another 1,600-km trip from Dublin to Dublin on his Vespa. With gems of wit and anecdote, plus a (now) sound knowledge of the processes and practices, Ben sheds light on each of the old and the new, the upcoming and the yet to come Irish whiskey distilleries, with yet more samples to taste and savour on the campsite.

I started reading Whisky Burn and right away loved it! It's fun, it's hilarious and it's engaging. There's never a dull moment with Ben, traveling with him through Scotland! I also love the design…
Whisky Burn is illustrated with twelve oil paintings done by the author at various points during the trip.
